“Our stay was very comfortable and it was a great location for our stopover between Scotland and Devon. The host was very efficient, friendly and accommodating to our needs. Location is in the town, so inevitably some traffic noise specially early morning. Take earplugs if that tends to disturb you. “The Vine the oldest coaching inn in Staffordshire. We were given a warm welcome and allowed to check-in early as they had a room available. We were asked about breakfast and we needed information on gluten free items as my husband is Coeliac, they kindly provided a separate sheet with the options on. Although the building is old the room was clean and the large bed very comfortable. The bathroom was large and the shower adequate. The staff were friendly and helpful and made us feel welcome.”

“I have stayed a the hotel a few times and have always enjoyed my stay. It is a lovely hotel, the bar area is very nice and rooms are nicely presented. My only criticism this time is we were in quite a noisy room, ( 11 ) with creaking floorboards, running water, toilets flushing in surrounding rooms. As a consequence my daughter and I didn’t have the best nights sleep. I mentioned to the lady on reception when checking out but she completely ignored my comment.
