“Although the room was small and simple, it was clean, comfortable, and with good A/C. No hot water but who needs it in 33 degree heat. A bit noisy from the adjacent bar, but no problem with ear plugs. Good food in the attached restaurant. The staff were fabulous - friendly and super helpful and went out of their way. ”

“We loved staying at Canon de La Vieja Lodge for our first few nights in Costa Rica. It was a short distance from the airport and close to the National Park. Lots to explore in the area. The property had many activities to enjoy. Even though the property is popular with tour groups we never felt it was crowded and always found quiet areas to enjoy by ourselves. We greatly appreciated the hot water pools down by the river as well as the main pool with it's swim up bar. Highly recommend this Lodge.……

“It’s a comfortable and enjoyable place to stay. The pool is great, and there are hammocks beneath the coconut trees, perfect for unwinding. “We absolutely loved our stay! The lobby was very far from our room and required transportation to reach, and with such a short stay, we didn't get back there for our VIP benefit. In my opinion, they should have had it ready for us when we arrived so we wouldn't have to chase them for it.”
