“We had a great time at Rectory Manor, a lovely old georgian country house set in mature garden of trees and lawn with a swimming pool and tennis court if you want some exercise. Our room (the Hudson) was furnished in the country house style and was supremely comfortable. The only downside was the bathroom was a bit small and slightly dated. The bath was too small to properly soak. On the plus side we had an unexpected balcony that caught the morning sun whilst giving beautiful country views……

“Beautiful B&B. Room was delightful and so spacious. Our hosts made us feel very welcome, finding us books and information to enhance our trip. You could feel their warmth and felt that they enjoyed hosting. Really lovely people. Breakfast was excellent in your own private space, every thing you could need or want was there. The gardens are beautiful to enjoy and the building stunning. Highly recommend.”

“I don’t usually leave property reviews, and I tend to avoid places without a host check-in due to past bad experiences. However, I must say the check-in process was the easiest I’ve come across, clear instructions and codes made it seamless. The room was a delight and had everything I needed. “Our stay was okay. The bed was a bit lumpy when we sat on it, but we seemed to sleep okay. The bathroom was huge, with 2 sinks, a toilet, bidet & separate shower, but there is no way we would’ve used the shower, so was glad there was a bath to use, which was bigger than average! The shower looked like it would’ve been a good experience, but the shower heads were mouldy & the outlets were so full of limescale, it just made us cringe! In fact everything had lots of limescale on it, which……
