“Good historic hotel, good location to walk around in Plymouth”

“Lovely place and very friendly hosts Tom and Rosie. The location is great (walking distance to harbour, sea front and main street). Tom knows all the great places to see, drink and eat. I especially liked the harbour light, looking over the harbour with a nice glass of wine and some great food)”

“Have just enjoyed a 3 night stay with a friend. Beautiful hotel in unique location in quiet South Sands beachy cove. Lots of ways to get to Salcombe town centre either walking (a bit hilly), hotel shuttle car or water ferry. Rooms have stunning decor and bathrooms are very well appointed. Service throughout the hotel is excellent and very friendly. Enjoyed both breakfast and dinner in the hotel restaurant. Good value & again great service throughout but with particular mention of lovely service……

“It’s the car parking that closes at 11pm - you have to pay for the car parking. There isn’t any sign anywhere to direct you to where you have to park. That is the only reason I won’t be going back - everything else was amazing. ”

“This is a really good hotel to stay in, the host is lovely and will do anything for you, the room is clean and lovely, it’s right near the sea and there are loads of places to eat.. This hotel really cares about its guest.. highly recommended ”

“No one tended our rooms during the stay - e.g. for replenishment of milk/tea/coffee or cleaning cups and towels etc and staff were hard to find and seemed clueless when we requested these things. We had to take our own rubbish to the bins. Otherwise, fantastic price, comfy beds, sea view and air conditioning (not sure if it works because we had no cause to use it). We were even called prior to checking in to ensure we were going to, which is good of them (was at the pub). Would stay again……

“Really enjoyed our stay, and would definitely return and actually make use of the facilities, we just didn't have the time. There were just a few minor feedback points that I hope are helpful. I don't drink coffee or caffeine and I used my own as the selection was limited. Also there was no milk option for coffee, in the room. It must be tricky to keep on top of the breakfast when there's families staying - I was waiting for the eggs for a while and had actually finished my breakfast by the……
