“We stayed at Achill Guest House for one night before starting a canal boat trip from Alvechurch Marina. We appreciated that it is a family-run guest house with a funky charm one doesn’t find in a chain hotel, even if the walls are a little thin and we could hear our neighbors a little bit. Good location very close to a charming high street with Tudor era buildings, a pretty parish church and dining and breakfasting options (the bakery is fabulous). Very……

“The front desk was very friendly even we arrived very late at night with a lot of belongings. The lady in the morning shift is especially nice and sincere. She was so lovely to let us stay the baggages till the afternoon. ”

The room temperature is controlled by a terribly designed electronic button which does not work easily. With great efforts and over 10 minutes, I slowly moved the cursor from 18.5 degree to 19.8 degree, since each time - if I succeeded in moving the screen’s little man into his box and ordered to move up room……
