“A great welcome, very friendly, lovely, comfy, spacious room. Mouth watering meals and great choice of drinks. Although we had a lovely Valentine meal, we were in the public bar, next to the bar which was a bit noisy, table in the restaurant would have been preferred for a bit more privacy. Still we had a wonderful stay.”
“From the moment we arrived, to the moment we left, we had nothing but friendly attentive service from the staff at the pub.
We were fortunate to be upgraded from a room in the pub to one of the relatively new lodges. The lodge was immaculate on arrival and very comfortable and well equipped.
We had breakfast included and this was first class with locally sourced food included.
We had two evening dinners at the pub and both were excellent from the very varied menu on offer. ”
“The family rooms more like an apartment were excellent. Everything you needed in the room including dvds for the kids. The host was brilliant and locals in the bar were welcoming. The location and setting lovely. Would recommend to stopping here”
“It was in a lovely location, must be stunning in the summer. Breakfast was amazing! Allowed two dogs which was great. Only negative is our room was above the bar and Friday night was very noisy until the early hours, and no hairdryer in room. ”

“We booked and pre-paid three rooms for a business trip. When we arrived, we were told that they did not have a reservation for us and when we showed the email confirmation, we were told that they did not work with Hotels.com and that they did not have the rooms available. We were able to resolve the situation eventually, but not a pleasant nor welcoming experience!”
