“We had an incredible week at the house. The hot tub was great to come home to after a busy day out walking and checking out the beaches. It was so handy to have a shop and pubs so close. The restaurant on the corner was lovely. We would definitely return”

“Accommodation is in well furnished self catering or modern rooms. This is not a hotel. Access and parking is convoluted and is not ideal for those with mobility problems. Rooms are accessed via a staircase. Room to room noise is evident and Saturday night is lively across the road until midnight. Breakfast is served at the 1176 restaurant and is very good with friendly staff and good locally sourced ingredients. There is nearby street parking for blue badge holders but would not recommend……

“Fab location and amazing to be able to go into Portmeirion at night, but all felt a bit old fashioned especially for the price! The room was very hot and so was the dining room. Nice breakfast but the toast was cold and staff on first day there (in restaurant in evening and breakfast) were not friendly. ”

“Fantastic 5 star private hotel everything rooms carpets in fantastic new condition Room 12 second floor big luxury room with massive double bed big bay window with unrestricted view over the bay fantastic sea view you can see Criccith Castle to the right and black sand beach to the left room 12 is well worth the additional £20 a night. Large well cooked and presented quality Welsh breackfast. Owners very helpful and sociable. Licences Bar, Free parking. All for £150 per night excellent highly……

“Good acomodation booked in with the new property owner Kurt, we were the second transaction made on his hotel account, chap by the bar beat us to no 1 position by a matter of minutes, Kurt had recently bought the Castle Hotel friday the 1st of September was his first day so basically hit the road running! He explained theres going to be big changes / improvements over the coming months so watch the space, as a New Zealander the bar area is going to be a sport bar area with some great rugby……
