“The hotel is nice but fairly basic. However, the rooms are clean and functional. The staff are attentive and pleasant (special thanks to Susan for her help). The main bonus is the restaurant attached to the hotel, which is one of the finest Indian restaurants I've ever eaten in! When we asked to book a table, we were told that it was full, but because we were residents, they prepared a table in the bar and served us there! Excellent service and excellent food!”

“I usually stay in this hotel for business and it's my third time - I was a bit disappointed on this occasion as my room was smaller than usual and looked quite shabby with damage to the wall. Also disappointed that they've stopped the free drink in return for no housekeeping for eco reasons which was a nice touch. Still has a lovely menu, breakfast and atmosphere however. ”

“Stayed here a couple of times and there is a lovely vibe. The rooms are an absolute electric mix of modern and antiques, beds are comfy and there is plenty of space. All rooms are very different so if you want a bath or shower in particular, make sure you check the details. Food in the pub is amazing, staff are very welcoming and the chef accommodated my dietary request without hesitation.”

The worst hotel stay in the entire trip

"Extremely poor service and stay. We were given a smaller room than we had asked for (images do not match the actual state of the room), and the air conditioner is broken; we were provided with fans but we do not have proper ventilation in our room, causing the room to be very hot and stuffy, and after taking a shower the room becomes very damp. Television does not work, and the fans aren't very good. There are also insect stains on the bedding. Service is misleading, we were told that our check out was at noon however we were urged to leave as soon as 11am came by, asking to charge us for overstaying in the hotel. Our belongings were held at the lobby as well because of this, and the staff were reluctant to return our belongings. Extremely disappointed at the service and conditions of the hotel, will not recommend it to anyone."
