“Friendly, welcoming, food excellent, room lovely, no lifts though Wish we had booked 2 nights”

“I requested a ground or first floor room as I have mobility problems. They emailed me and said they had a ground floor room, but it was an upgrade from what I had booked, therefore I needed to pay another £20.00 per night. I think this was absorbitant, as it didn’t look like the hotel was fully booked. Surely they accommodate disabled people all the time, or is it just a way of getting extra money. The site I booked through didn’t give me the option to say I was disabled, so I think these……

The room was clean and tidy , the en-suite was spacious and the views from our windows over the river were great . We had bedroom 3 and the river runs directly outside and the sounds and views of the river are very relaxing . We would highly recommend to anyone wanting a lovely quiet peaceful break with lovely walks right on your doorstep.. we will be back for sure ”

Drew and Penny are fantastic hosts and clearly care about keeping guests happy , they have a great knowledge of the local area and nothing was too much trouble The house interior looks fantastic and is a credit to their hard work renovating the property . Although we had a lovely Valentine meal, we were in the public bar, next to the bar which was a bit noisy, table in the restaurant would have been preferred for a bit more privacy. Still we had a wonderful stay.”
