“Fabulous location overlooking the valley. Staff food and rooms are all great. A minor downside is lighting over the handbag in the bathroom where good light is needed for contact lens wearers; however this is common to almost all hotels nowadays”

“Lovely place. Great welcome on arrival. Very nice touches e.g. toiletries in bathroom, free coffee and tea in lounge room. Quiet, relaxing hotel in a good location 10 mins walk from city centre. Uphill on the way back so less mobile people would need to take transport, but worth the trip. Breakfast is fantastic. Cooked to order with continental breakfast available as buffet. Great service.”

“We have stayed at Dorian House before so recommended it to our friends as a group booking (8 of us) to celebrate our 50th birthdays. We went for an executive room (6) Tallis. The room was beautiful with a lovely big bed and great view out of the quirky windows overlooking Bath. The welcome and the breakfast were both excellent. The issue we had was with the bathroom. It is shower only. There is a large sign up saying not to adjust the pressure of the shower due to it being an old house and……

“We had a truly wonderful experience at The Neeld Arms. Mark, the proprietor, was incredibly courteous and an outstanding host throughout our stay. From the moment we arrived, he made sure every detail was taken care of. Dinner was exceptional. We had a delicious chicken burger and a perfectly cooked fish and chips, both served hot and fresh. There was also plenty of fresh bread and butter on the table, which we really appreciated. Everything was full of flavour and clearly made with quality……

“This lovely pub, with separate accommodation block was a real find. Definitely recommend it to others. Free parking available at the accommodation. Good WiFi signal in the accommodation. Delicious meals available in the pub next to the accommodation. A real find!”

“It's great character and perfect location. We returned to the hotel about midnight after taking a relative home after a great meal. Parking over the bridge and walking across the car park in the dark was quite challenging. I did report it and suggested some low level lighting would be helpful even if it were sensor operated. They took note and said it would be brought the Managements attention. Would be very happy to return and to recommend.”
