“Very relaxed hotel, beautiful large rooms and extensive grounds to walk around. Close to Bovey Tracy and Haytor Rock. The staff were really helpful and professional. The restaurant was excellent and provided a superb breakfast and dinner. We did eat in the pub which is part of the hotel (Tinpickle and Rhum) but the food was cold and service was dreadful, stick to the hotel restaurant in the conservatory! Otherwise a beautiful hotel to stay in in Dartmoor.”

“Have just enjoyed a 3 night stay with a friend. Beautiful hotel in unique location in quiet South Sands beachy cove. Lots of ways to get to Salcombe town centre either walking (a bit hilly), hotel shuttle car or water ferry. Rooms have stunning decor and bathrooms are very well appointed. Service throughout the hotel is excellent and very friendly. Enjoyed both breakfast and dinner in the hotel restaurant. Good value & again great service throughout but with particular mention of lovely service……

“It’s the car parking that closes at 11pm - you have to pay for the car parking. There isn’t any sign anywhere to direct you to where you have to park. That is the only reason I won’t be going back - everything else was amazing. ”

“This B&B hotel was beyond our expectation, really nice and warm feeling staying there. Only 10 min driving to Plymouth downtown, quite and comfortable. “james very friendly, check in was very fast and clear, and provided breakfast ,room was very clean and bed very comfortable, bathroom looked new and like have been refurbished, room furnished with the ingenuity of the owner, it’s great location to stay ,few minutes walk to near the sea , highly recommend staying here. and very quiet at night!”
