“Nice, functional hotel in a good location for the town. Clean and comfortable rooms and a decent selection for breakfast. Staff at reception and the bar were not very friendly or welcoming which was a shame. Would come again on another visit to the theatre. ”

“We have stayed at the Hopping Hare a few times. It is a great pub, the food is very good, and the staff are very helpful. We would recommend the Hopping Hare to anyone. Only down side is getting to the rooms can be a little tricky - narrow passage ways and stairs.”

“Just want to preface this by saying I did enjoy my stay here, the staff are wonderful and it's in a nice quiet area. However, I did notice that the air filter thing in the bathroom was absolutely caked in dust and the breakfast was somewhat lacking, the sausages were like chewing rubber and the beans were quite thin. ”

“The staff in this hotel are very friendly and helpful and helped to make this an enjoyable trip. The check-in was efficient and the restaurant, especially the bar, was a really nice space with nice decor and lots of light. I ate a delicious breakfast, salad for lunch and a delightful meal in the restaurant. Good vegetarian and vegan choices if required and clearly seen on the menus. “While one could nit-pick (receptionist seemed surprised to have to explain the set-up to us, we'd never been before, broken light in the bedroom flashing and clicking, fan in the bathroom not working, whole place pretty shabby and tired-looking) nonetheless the bed was comfortable, the black-out was good, there was no road noise and the shower was smashing. Overall, amazing for the price. I'd go back.”
