“Very friendly place, very busy in bar area but accommodation separate (& quiet 😊👍)… enjoyed looking round the bar area after breakfast next day, lots of interesting items/photos etc and nice to be away from the ‘corporate’ feel that most hotels seem to have these days. I’m sure we’ll be back.”

“Lovely apartment in great location next to city centre. The owner had an issue with previous guests who trashed the apartment, however when we arrived the apartment was clean and in great condition. Only issue was a slight dampness to couch due to him having to clean because of previous users. This would not put me off using this apartment again, thank you for the use of your apartment”

“Massive pigeon infestation, cant leave the window open because they will fly in. The hot water finished after 10 minutes in the morning, so no shower in the morning, only one person. You need to climb 50 stairs to reach the apartment, the elevator is broken. Only a 1/2 roll used toliet paper, no rug to step out of the shower, used a towel instead. ”

“We have stayed at The Victory three times now, it is very convenient if you want to go out for food around West Mersea and don't want to worry about driving. Plus it is close to the seafront walk of West Mersea Beach. Rooms are very clean, plus you have the advantage that they are part of a pub, therefore the ability to step down for a drink or food at any point.”
