All the extra touches are so appreciated and above and beyond e.g sewing kit in the large and comfortable lounge, home made biscuits in the room. Comfy beds and pillows and endless hot water. The hosts are super friendly and don’t mind you eating takeaway in the dining room in the evening. Breakfast was amazing!! We will definitely return. ”

“The George Hotel is a wonderful place and one that I will remember well. It's near to Hadrian's Wall and many other old Roman sites to explore. The George Hotel has a charm that countryside adventurers will love. Hikers from the wall come and go and share their stories. That bridge and the river provide a scene that you will remember. Although there is no lift, we found out that the room was easily accessible from the upper parking spaces. Staff was super friendly. The food was excellent……
