“Very well located beachfront property in Tamarindo in area full of shops, restaurants and all amenities. Hotel is pretty basic but very clean ..the staff is very friendly and helpful. Laundry service available. ”

“The staff was always helpful and we were always greeted with a smile. What I think could be helpful is a small cooler for each room because even though they have ice and water refill, they is no way to keep things cold. We used our ice tray from the fridge and then others started doing the same. There are no drinks to purchase at the hotel either pop or alcohol so it would be greatly helpful.”

“This is a great property and we thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The staff is super helpful with special call out to Diego who helped us find surfing lessons in Tamarindo on our last day at the last minute! We loved our stay here. I highly recommend it. I would say just a smidge pricey for not including breakfast...but all in all, no complaints!”

“The building is U shaped with the rooms overlooking the beautiful pool in the center. The room had great AC and was clean and comfortable. Staff was friendly even offering to let us borrow beach chairs if needed. Breakfast each morning by the pool was fantastic. Located in the center of town made it easy to walk to restaurants, the beach or shopping. Glad I chose it! ”

“The Mar Rey was convenient to everything. We’ve staying in Tamarindo many times and wanted to be on the beach this time. We did however end up leaving two days early. A few things … we were in the end room facing the parking lot and street. Which was quite noisy at night. We came back to our room one evening and there was a woman sitting on our patio who walked off the street to wait for her taxi. It was sorta unsettling having someone sitting at our door when we arrived back. She was nice and……
