“Lovely place to stay and visit Vindolanda and Hadrians wall. Thai food and breakfast were faultless, nicely decorated rooms and comfy beds. The staff were really friendly with a fantastic sense of humour. Can't wait to come again! Thank you ”
“We had a lovely stay at this hotel, the staff were very friendly and helpful. The location is great for visiting Vindolanda and Hadrien's Wall.
The breakfast was excellent and evening meals were also good. I hope to return here.”
“Well located in the centre of Hexham, this is a nice hotel close to a lot of Hadrian’s wall visitor sites.
We stayed in a superior room, which nice enough. It was a bit noisy, mainly because the room was next to the lift and sound transmitted very easily through the gaps around the door. With a little bit of sound proofing, the room would have been excellent.”
“My stay was really enjoyable. The staff are all very friendly and nothing is too much trouble.
The building itself is full of character. Food is hearty and comes in large portions ! ”
“We stayed at the property 2 years ago and found it really
nice. This time, I think we had a different room . Still nice
but unfortunately we could not get the electric shower to function and when I intended to report this there appeared to be nobody around . Still a nice venue in a pleasant
setting. I presume your refund to me was because you
took payment from my wife’s card.
Thank you Peter Carroll”
“I mean, Northumberland is a beautiful place, and this property was no less beautiful. It is the most eco-conscious hotel we've ever stayed in, with it's own garden, solar panels. and I believe a rain catcher? There's so much wildlife in the area, bird feeders and cats roaming around. We got lucky and there was a bit of clear sky our second night, so we headed to the observatory and got to spots some stars since it's in a Dark Sky Park. It was also a great distance to all the sights in the area,……
“The staff, the food at both dinner and breakfast were excellent. Parking is just across a quiet road.
Our room however left us literally cold. Old building,
'wavy' floors, single glazed casement windows facing the prevailing - brisk - wind and an outside temperature of close to freezing. Then the heating gets switched off for the night !
Considering that this was the most expensive 'one nighter' on our recent trip, we were less than satisfied.”
“This was such a cute little apartment. It is attached to the Milecastle Pub, which has very delicious food. A portion of Hadrian’s Wall is within walking distance. I would definitely recommend.”
“I wanted a low budget one night stay. Although property is old fashioned, my single room, with en suite was very clean and bed was comfortable
The breakfast cerea,l yogurt etc was an unexpected bonus. Kettle, microwave and fridge in room.
Member of staff on arrival friendly and helpful.
I couldn’t get the tv to find any chanels, but not there long enough to enquire about it. Could do with a chair, but overall exactly what i wanted Thank you”
“The room was spacious and had a lovely view of the river and gardens,The receptionist on our arrival was very friendly and informative, giving us some useful advice about the area, that we acted upon. We only stayed one night here and we booked an evening meal as well as breakfast. The room was nicely decorated and had a large comfy bed with pillows that were soft and fresh. Our evening meal was enjoyable but we had to wait a while to get our food and drink order as there was some inexperienced……
