“Very nice overall. only 5 min from Beamish and 15 min walk through the woods to the lovely Causey Arch. Staff very friendly and helpful. Couple of bits a little bit tired but acceptable. “Check-in was easy. Excellent welcome and key system explained. Minor issues. 13amp sockets not easy to access, took a while to find the spare sockets, all were behind furniture! Only one bedside lamp. Not a major issue this time, as we only needed the room for sleeping. However, for a longer stay bedtime reading would have been an issue. Problem with the door handle being loose. It was reported and we were assured that it had been logged and would be dealt with. We will be staying again……

“The room was spacious and had a lovely view of the river and gardens,The receptionist on our arrival was very friendly and informative, giving us some useful advice about the area, that we acted upon.
