“Our stay was amazing from start to finish. The attention to detail was exceptional. Even to the point of providing gluten free biscuits in our room! The staff were so friendly and helpful. The food was incredible. We honestly think this was the best hotel we have ever stayed in in the UK.”

“Friendly staff, pleasant dining option within the hotel in quiet residential neighbourhood a few minutes’ walk away from the local hospital. Rooms were clean and well maintained. No lift to upper floor. Free parking, and reasonable value when we stayed, and the breakfast was nice (extra charge).”

“Amazing stay this weekend at Ashdown. We were able to play tennis, use the driving range, lunch and walk around the grounds all before checking in. Room was beautiful and clean with a great view! Dinner in the restaurant and breakfast also great and generous portions. Service fantastic! ”

“Lovely hotel. Staff very friendly and helpful. Swimming pool was beautiful and (when I was there) very quiet. There's also a small sauna and steam room, and a tiny (but perfectly formed) gym, Excellent breakfast selection, and again staff very helpful, even with late arriving guests.
