“The proprietor was very welcoming, the room was clean and tidy. There was also tea,coffee, biscuits and water available in the room. The bed was comfortable and we slept well. They do not do breakfast but the proprietor recommended places where we could obtain an evening meal with a pint of real ale and also some breakfast the following morning. Would definitely stay there again. ”

“This is the second time we have stayed at the President hotel, it was our 14th wedding anniversary this time. The staff are lovely especially the breakfast staff. “The location is great and nearby the ferry pier. But the hotel is not in good maintenance at room, the toilet ceiling have a lot of dirty water marks, it looked disgusting. “Stayed here 3 times short walk from the station! Stayed in room 205 which is at the rear of the building so nice and quiet away from the city traffic noise! We always book DB&B excellent value, the hotel seemed quieter than previous visits. “Clean and modern hotel - only 1 issue: Because we booked with Expedia, the receptionist embarrassedly informed us, overnight parking was £20 (!) - yet for the customer in the check-in queue before me, parking was £10, as they bought their room on the Hotel's website. - this seemed incredibly unfair.
