“Our stay was very good value and nothing to much trouble for the staff. Room clean and comfy. Breakfast was brilliant!
Cant really fault it at all, its our 2nd stay and will be back.
Cocktails are an added bonus! Would definitely recommend this hotel.

“Great traditional pub in a suburban area ( visit to relative) wonderful publican and staff. Parking was very tight. Stayed in the room frequented by British rock stars Robert Plant and Christie McVie, which was a nice. Despite being next to rail station we heard nothing. Fabulous’full English’ breakfast - try it !! No elevator - quite a number of stairs. ”
“Lovely rooms, with ensuite but even with the heating off and the window open it was too hot to sleep.
Would be great idea to have bottles of water in the room, possibly a small fridge.
Breakfast is excellent and so was dinner ”
“Opportunity for a bit of nostalgia when visiting family back home. Amazing grounds and gardens and the hotel has history going back to 1908. We were in good company, as the corridors are adorned with celebrities who have visited over the years. ”
“I so much enjoyed the 3 night stay at The Woden Hotel that I added on 2 more nights. The room was picture perfect and bedding was extremely comfortable. All amenties are at this hotel. If youre needing a stay for somewhere for over 5 days this is the place for you. They even have washer n dryer!!”
“This place was a hidden Gem amazing. The Venue was what I considered a Castle on the outside, and on the inside is a little more on the modern side with some touches of the old. Very nice and quiet. It was enjoyable.”
“The hotel is situated in wonderful grounds. The room we had was spacious and clean. Would have preferred a larger shower than an oversized bathtub though! The staff were extraordinarily friendly and attentive. The food was incredible and some of the best we have had at any hotel. Great place to use as a base while in the area. They have set the bar extremely high, just hope they can maintain it!”
“Property was what we expected. Only niggles I’ve got are: Beds in the second bedroom were a little small, I’m 5’11’’ and was too tall for it. There was a constant sound from what could have been a boiler that did keep me up at night.
Host was responsive and polite though. Overall good stay. I’d recommend, but for slightly smaller people who don’t mind constant noise.”
“Lovely apartment clean and well layed out, but to have a microwave hob and oven I feel it should have pots and pans and cooking utensils. There is a tv mounted on the wall but no aerial lead so you could only get on demand programs. Coffee tea and sugar was provided. This is a new complex ( about a month old )and I understand that it’s still needs refining ”
“I don't know what to say other than I have sent my review to YHA with "top marks" for everything. From the friendly welcome received on check-in to the cleanliness of the room allocated, everything was absolutely perfect for the overnight stay. I slept very well & enjoyed the morning coffee in the café downstairs. It was all spot-on and excellent value for money. I will recommend to friends and I would like to book to stay there again. ”
