“Stayed just the 1 night to attend racing at the Silverstone race circuit. Room (twin) was very clean and tidy, comfortable beds, great bathroom and tea and coffe aplenty in the room. “A very enjoyable stay. Room was basic but clean. We were given a very warm welcome by Jason who showed us to our room. The Thai restaurant which is located at the Pub/Hotel served an absolutely delicious 5* meal and is a must if you’re planning on staying here. The location is perfect for a hiking or cycling getaway break. ”

“Inexpensive no frills Oxford accommodation. Manager very responsive and accommodating. Good location with frequent buses to centre of Oxford (though easy for most to walk) and direct buses to train station. Clean rooms, kettle with tea and coffee. Good shower. No regrets. “Had a great stay at The Bear Hotel. Love its charm and the feel of a true English hotel. It’s been here 500+ years. We stayed in a front room that looked over the Wantage Market Square. The room was fine, very clean, and the bed was comfy. However if you are tall, like over 5’ 9” you must watch your head and you probably won’t fit in the shower. Staff were all excellent! Love the breakfast that came with the room, delicious!”

“This is the hotel right in the center of the town. It is so convenient to everything you needs among the shopping streets, dining, parks, running trails, and buses to Oxford and surrounding areas. We enjoyed staying at this affordable price for our vacation. The only thing we have is not enough air circulation inside room, nor the corridor. So, room temperature is much warmer than outside even open the window. ”

“Excellent and cosy place to stay and to eat. Just a short journey from Oxford, and in the middle of lovely countryside. The Bell has a lovely country atmosphere with a stylish bar and restaurant. Service and food is excellent. Bedrooms are comfortable and have everything you could need at a reasonable price. Special mention for Toby, who works at the speed of light to ensure your evening meal is wonderful. A definate must visit for anyone in the Oxford area.”
