“This is a great place to get away from it all. It was really nice to have a place on the water and sit around a campfire in the evening. The house/cottage is very clean, nicely decorated, and well-equipped. There aren't any stores or restaurants nearby, so stop at a grocery store in Ellsworth. There might be some firewood left by others, but it would be best to purchase some camp wood on the way. It is sold by seemingly everybody. Bar Harbor is an hour away by car. ”

The private beach was so nice and the home was cozy and the perfect size for us 3. It had everything we needed to make ourselves at home! A few things on the description that were inaccurate: there didn’t appear to be any laundry which wasn’t inconvenient, but it was on the listing. Also Ellsworth is not 20 minutes away, it’s more like 45.……
