For meals, we could cook right there (the Super Rosvil market is a short walk away) or we could go out to eat - there's Mario's place on the next corner for easy food, or an easy walk to downtown for lots of other options). “Amazing place! It is a little outside the town with an amazing view of the volcano. The property was so relaxing with a pool and shaded areas to hang out. So many birds and a beautiful garden! The actual room was good for sleeping and making simple meals but we spent most of our time outdoors on the property. Would stay again!”

“This home was exactly what we needed, close to downtown La Fortuna yet away from the noise. The house has 2 bedrooms with doble beds and TV’s and one loft with 2 twin beds. The bathroom has hot/cold water and the host provides shampoo, conditioner and shower gel. The kitchen has a full size refrigerator, a cooktop as well as the basics you need to make meals if you choose to cook. The washer and dryer were very convenient. “We loved Xilopalo! It was authentic to the area and felt like a private resort but was close and walkable to town. We enjoyed the pool. The highlight was that breakfast was delicious and had an excellent view of the Arenal volcano. Our suite was spacious. Staff was helpful. ”
