“I booked this hotel on a whim for a weekend trip and the Saint Croix Inn was an unexpected surprise. The staff were very welcoming and kind. Megan got us checked in quickly and gave us the low down on the lounge and pool hours. Our room was very clean and comfortable. “It was exactly as described. We wanted a camping experience but with the comfort of a bed. It is a walk to the beach/lake like it states. The Porcupine trail to the beach is shorter but not maintained. (Wear long pants & good shoes.) We did see 1 bear during our stay on the Lake Trail, so be aware! We stayed at Solitude which is down a slope so just make sure you have no physical limitations with incline/declines. Showers are in the main lodge. Always had hot water and never a wait for the……
