“Location was very good central, car park was a short walk up slope beside hotel. Hosts were very friendly and welcomed us with a smile.comfy room, excellent breakfast.”
“Cute little quiet area and relaxing rooms. Would come again for sure. we got an uber to Matlock bath took 5 minutes. Breakfast was amazing. Plenty of street parking outside the b&b thanks ”
“Great little place for a night away with kids, basic but comfortable.
The thing we loved was the little courtyard with plenty of tabkes and chairs outside the cabins where you could see your child playing on the play equipment whilst chilling.
Only stayed in the basic cabin and didnt upgrade to the princess rooms but from what we could see, it was a much better set up in these to be able to keep a close watch on you child.
Made it a relaxing stay and would defo use again.”
“Anything you read about the property being a bit dated... It is indeed true. But honestly, the place is perfectly fine! The beds were comfy, the place is clean, the staff are absolutely lovely. If I paid more I would expect more, but the price is good value I think! Especially given the small spa facilities. ”
“Good food and we really appreciated being able to reserve a table for dinner on arrival, and the evening staff very helpful indeed. Proper coffee with breakfast would have made it perfect! ”
“Very clean and quiet. Upgraded to the Garden suite which was lovely. Nice pub next door with food. Fun climb onto the Moors behind the B&B. Great stay !”
“Lovely stay. The staff was great! Everyone went out of their way to be kind and helpful, even helping when our plans to tour local sites got messed up by a very heavy winter storm that caused power outages. Dinner at the hotel restaurant was a bit pricey, but excellent quality and our servers could not have been better. Breakfast every morning was delicious and, again, our server was lovely. Would recommend this hotel if touring Derbyshire area. ”
“Lovely one night stay, hotel is modern clean and has large rooms. The bar area is well laid out. We didn’t eat, but due to its location if you need a meal you will likely end up eating there. Only one bad point is that the pillows were feather and soon went flat, I do wish hotels would have a synthetic standby pillow that does not go flat. Other than that we really enjoyed it.”
“I cannot recommend Marehay hall Farm and host Sharon highly enough. All of the the positive descriptions reviewing a B&B apply here. Whatever your expectations are they will surely be met and exceeded. If you are looking for a quiet oasis to relax and retreat from the hustle of daily life, this is it. The gardens are work in progress and offer the potential to make this a much saught after retreat location. Would we come back. Without a doubt!
