“Windsor was a great venue for our meeting of a group of friends and the Hotel was really good. The location was excellent, right between the castle (I had a wonderful view of the castle from room 461) and the Thames. Walking distance to two train stations. Plenty of good restaurants a few minutes walk from the hotel. Breakfast was good and the staff very attentive. The same is true for the front desk and concierge. There is at least one accessible room to be reserved. Ubers are plentiful and……

“Having stayed in Eton several times, always wanted to stay at Gilbey’s. Stayed in studio suite and it was fabulous. A safe area and close to Windsor Castle, shopping , many pubs and restaurants. Staff was lovely. Will definitely stay there again. ”

“Room was large and for the most part very nice, large windows with amazing views. However, the TV was falling off the wall and took two days to have fixed, the safe did not work either and was never really fixed, I was just given a Key so I could lock it. ”

“We had absolutely no heating. I tried several times to contact the owner by email, messenger and by phoning her. No reply. I had been in contact with her regarding check in via email and messenger, I even sent a photo of the temperature in the house. 10 degrees. I had to source 2 radiators myself, which a kind neighbour lent us. I would like a refund for our inconvenience ”

“Be aware, this is not a hotel, but rather a house located in a residential area with only three rooms. There is no breakfast, no swimming pool, and it is definitely not the so-called four-star hotel they claimed it to be. The three rooms share a single bathroom, and there are rules against showering and blow-drying your hair past 11 PM and before 7 AM. The rooms are small and dimly lit. Once you fall for their trap, there's no recourse, and the price is very high. I will never return.”
