“The staff were lovely , very obliging and professional. We had a very nice bedroom very clean, just too many steps for my husband, however the young man on the desk when we arrived carried up our case, which we were very grateful for . The food in the restaurant was excellent really enjoyed breakfast , the whole hotel was very clean, set in beautiful gardens ”

“My room was on the top floor with a private use bathroom across the corridor frommy room. It was a small shower room with toilet. The shower was OK, but not very powerful. I liked the amenities provided. Shower gel etc and a razor pack in the bathroom, coffee and hot chocolate in the bedroom. Wifi was excellent. If I have to put some small gripes, it would be there was nowhere to sit and work. So not ideal for a business stay. It was on the top floor which is quite a hike and there is no lift,……

“We had a good stay at the property, staff was very friendly and helpful, bed was huge and very comfortable, comfy pillows too, nice specious room which was tad dated but was clean enough not to spoil our stay. Good pub attached to the hotel, great that it had little play area to keep little ones happy and on the day we arrived there was a bouncy castle which was huge bonus. “Great setting on the river. EV charger was a real bonus for us. The room wasn’t that big, but had everything we needed and was very clean. Comfortable bed. Our evening meal was fine and breakfast very good. A good stopover.”

“The room was pleasant, but the glass door between the bedroom and the toilet and shower area was odd and rather off putting. The bed was comfortable, and we got a good nights sleep. Breakfast was adequate, but the cereal, and other cold buffet items were uninspiring. All in all, a bit dull, particularly since a refurbishment was done in 2019. Ok for a night or two though.”

“Super stay - high quality furnished room, and quiet late on, despite the vibrant atmosphere at the adjoining pub. Only thing I could perhaps find fault with would be the high tog rating for the duvet (which made for a rather warm night !)”
