“Loved the location! The windmills were directly across the water. The view was amazing. The room was extremely comfortable and it had a huge bathroom. Please make sure to double check with staffing about which of the three buildings you can go to. Also make sure to get a email of your code or you might be a bit stranded. “The noise outside”

“We really enjoyed our stay. 2 Adults and 2 children (11&9). Location is outside of the city center but it was good to be near the windmills, have the use of the boat and the bikes which we would not have had if we had been in the city center. Children really liked staying on the houseboat. We bought food from the Dekemart and ate at Het Heerenhuis twice which was very good. Uses Uber and the bus to get around as well as the bikes. Good communication with the host and they dealt with the only……

“Our family stayed at Anouk's lovely houseboat during a recent trip to the Netherlands to visit family. The boat is well maintained, comfortable and clean. The location is very accessible to the train and to amenities in Zaandam. No matter how busy the day, the beauty and comfort of the houseboat always made for a relaxing return. Highly recommend!”

“What a wonderful stay! The hosts were so welcoming, making you feel like a guest in their home. My room was lovely and clean, with thoughtful touches throughout. I visited at Christmastime, and there were even a couple of decorations in the room. Breakfast was fantastic. If you are staying upstairs, the stairs are very narrow and steep, which made me a bit nervous with a big suitcase, but the kind host helped me carry my suitcase up and bring it back down.
