“The George Inn was an excellent choice for our first night in England, due to its proximity to Stonehenge and the reasonable cost. All staff were attentive and helpful. We enjoyed a late afternoon walk on the country lanes of Middle Wallop. I want to mention a few things that did not bother us but may matter to other potential guests:
- Room ("the family room"): because it was directly above the pub, we could hear music clearly through the floor until the pub closed. This did not bother us. The……
“Really enjoyed our 2 nights here.
Room was comfy and well equipped. Clean bathroom with bath and great shower overhead.
Staff were friendly and helpful. Relaxed atmosphere and beautiful outside areas.
We watched owls and deer as we enjoyed an evening drink overlooking the view.”
“By sheer chance we ended up at the Three Cups - and it is a delightful family run traditional (as in 500 years old traditional) coaching inn. The food was fantastic, both at dinner time and breakfast. Very personal attention paid to everything. Beautiful gardens, with streams running through. The village is spectacular, with wonderful little shops, as well as the trout streams running right through. ”
“Lovely pub with rooms in a separate block. We ate in the pub with friends and enjoyed a Faboulous meal. The room we had was clean, spacious and very comfortable. Lovely couple who run it is a picturesque village. ”
“Highly recommend this B&B, room and bathroom immaculately clean. Malcolm meet us as hosts were out, what a fantastic man, so friendly and funny and even offered to taxi us to our party as no taxis available. Great one night stay, Graham and Kay are excellent hosts , breakfast was fantastic .cheap local parking a bonus .

“The room is comfortable and perfect for one person. The staff are helpful and friendly, and the hotel is conveniently located near the train station. However, a downside is the lack of a lift to the room, so light luggage is recommended. It would also be an improvement to have a desk and chair in the room.”
“Spotlessly clean. I stayed during a heatwave and the room was kindly provided with air-con type fans. Parking was easy and staff helpful and friendly.”
“Although only booked for one night, but I had a very good experience. The staff are very helpful, the location is convenience that is close to town and just next to Cathedral. I love the fact that the hotel is a historical building and preserved so well from the inside and outside. Highly recommend to stay there while you visit Stonehenge, Old Sarum & Saisbury Cathedral.”
“I booked a double bed room with a sofa bed to accommodate for 3 persons. The sofa bed was found not in good condition. Hotel arranged one more single room to us without additional charge. A good customer experience to us!”
