“We stayed one night and this hotel was awesome. First, they allow a 11:30 am check in which is rare. We were visiting friends so we dropped bags off and came back late night but it was convenient be able to do so. The room was immaculate and even though the bathrooms are shared, you get the full bathroom to yourself when you use it. The location is great just outside the ferry terminal. “Gave an extended weekend trip to my sister and brother in law for their 59th birthdays. They had an amazing relaxing time. They are repeat visitors at the Palms because it is second to none on Ocean Beach. Bicycles, beach chairs, umbrellas provided making it stress free. Staff is always accommodating including assisting with luggage at the dock. They took their own boat and the staff still met them and assisted. “This house was very nice, as pictured or better. Clean, no issues checking in or out. Wagon was there as promised, more bikes than promised, lots of beach towels and chairs provided. The house had two wonderful outdoor second story decks with great views of the water and the ferry dock. Location was perfect, so convenient to ferry and market. Two things not great. Although it had an AC unit in every bedroom that all worked fine which made ground floor cool and comfortable, the main living……

“It was as cute as it looked on-line and gave us a great space for hanging out and enjoying each other's company. That said, I would recommend that you rent this with loved ones as privacy is limited because of the indoor design. With no insulation or dry wall every noise is heard throughout the house! Other nice surprises: new AC units (very quiet), very comfortable beds, and an outdoor shower with good light. The street is very quiet. “Stayed here for a girls trip. We were a group of 11. Most of the beds are doubles so probably can’t actually sleep 12 unless you’re a kid or on the smaller side. The way the beds are arranged requires one person to crawl over the other to get out of bed since they’re pushed up against the wall. (Not a dealbreaker but something to consider for guest comfort). “Quick 2-night stay, couldn’t have been more comfortable. Ocean Beach (town) has everything (one would need for a Fire Island stay), yet the house is beautifully secluded away from it all. The house is well-cared for with delightful details. The view is wonderful. We had everything we needed. Would stay here again in a heartbeat. Thank you!”

“Unlike many Fire Island rentals, this place lived up to its description! It was clean and beautifully stocked with beach chairs and towels and kitchen dishware/pots/cutlery and spices. Plenty of blankets and pillows and even a pack and play which we needed. I was always able to communicate with Len the owner and he was quick to respond. We are hoping to rent again next season!”
