We had a very nice bedroom very clean, just too many steps for my husband, however the young man on the desk when we arrived carried up our case, which we were very grateful for . “We had a nice stay but sadly my partner and I were awoken at 7am by someone using a loud garden strimmer. Called the front desk to see if trimming the grass could be delayed and was told the person doing it would be moved to a different area to give us some peace and quiet, but the person kept strimming near us anyway. Bit of a shame as we'd had a late night and were looking forward to a lie in. The room was very nice though. Whilst dinner was nothing to write home about, the breakfast was……

“Lovely little pub accommodation, the room was spacious and the bed comfy. I would have liked an iron in the room, and a more powerful shower, as well as an earlier check in. The breakfast was lovely, as was the owner. A nice little place to stay.”

“Lovely stay. The staff was great! Everyone went out of their way to be kind and helpful, even helping when our plans to tour local sites got messed up by a very heavy winter storm that caused power outages. Dinner at the hotel restaurant was a bit pricey, but excellent quality and our servers could not have been better. Breakfast every morning was delicious and, again, our server was lovely. Would recommend this hotel if touring Derbyshire area. ”
