Getting into place the first time is a bit of a challenge - street level passcode, up a flight of stairs to an old style elevator up to fifth floor - but once there, it's a lovely boutique property. “The room and staff were excellent, in addition to the area. Hôtel was close and walkable (40 mins or less) to many major attractions (Colosseum, Trevi Fountain, Pantheon, Spanish Steps and Vatican) and we always felt safe. Our only frustration with the property was that it has a Vikey key system which uses the hotel’s wifi via a website you need to access on your phone to unlock your door and access the building after 8:30pm. Because the wifi wasn’t always consistent, the Vikey system is a bit……

“Facilities are good. Bathroom mildew around shower could use some bleaching but otherwise rooms and bathroom were great. Our big problem here is that our room windows opened up to alley where Minerva hotel employees smoked and gathered all day and night and trash was put out and moved as well. Super noisy and smokey so we could not keep windows opened without lots of noise and smoke coming into our room. Ask for a room that does not open up to alley. ”
