“We had a wonderful stay in this beautiful hotel. Everything available on site, but also very easy walking distance to Funchal centre. All of the staff were extremely helpful & friendly, nothing was too much trouble. The food was wonderful & breakfast was a delicious choice of fresh & cooked food. We would highly recommend this hotel & will definitely be back. It was my partners birthday while we were in Madeira & despite us not announcing this in any way, he was presented with a birthday……

“Fabulous adults only hotel. Super friendly with a green eco approach with cleaning the rooms, towels etc. We enjoyed buffet breakfast style restaurant with menu options too. The Michelin restaurant Desarma was the best experience, we added the wine flight to complete a special Birthday for my partner. It was a tad Nicer than The William restaurant at the Belmond Hotel. My score 4 stars for cleaning only because the windows were bit dirty and the floor around the windows where the tables are was……

“The hotel is absolutely beautiful. Spotless clean and the grounds are lush and beautiful. The big down side is the main pool,the water is so very cold. Considering the size of this pool and how pretty it is, hardly anyone swam in it, due to the cold temperature. It's an terrific waste, just to sit around it and not be able to take a dip. Many people dipped a toe in, and then just walked away.”
