“Lovely large country house hotel right on the seashore with a path down to the oceanfront walkway. Beautiful views (a breakfast neighbor saw dolphins out in the water). Friendly staff (Sal), large public rooms, and a comfortable en-suite room. Easy walk to the high street of Nairn. ”

“This lodge is such a gem and it deserves all the praise. The woman who runs it is absolutely lovely — so kind, helpful, and genuinely friendly. We ended up chatting with her a lot, and she always made time for us, which we really appreciated (especially since we probably talked her ear off, sorry!). “This is a beautiful property and well worth a visit. Despite my train arriving after check-in, it was very easy to access my room. The room was a good size and very clean. The hostess is friendly and extremely accommodating. If you use public transportation, be aware that the property is near Pulpit Hill, so there is some steep walking. However, buses do serve this area, and you can get a taxi. I came to Scotland to hike, so the uphill walk was a welcome part of the trip. The house was less……
