“Anny greeted us warmly and sat down to go over a map of Mt. Dessert Island/Acadia National Park, and point out several key local sites and activities for our stay. The place is impressively well equipped with appliances and conveniences. Castille soap, shampoo, and conditioner are right there in the renovated shower, with a sophisticated rain forest and hand held shower valve that starts with hot water and then mixes in cold. “Great communication by host. This location was prefect since it was close to everything without being too touristy. I will definitely stay here again ”

“Everything was perfect. The host thought of everything. We didn’t need to buy anything except food. She even provided coffee. My only complaint was the marina next-door. It had a docking area but also a separate working area for repairs so was a little noisy on workdays when I wanted to sit by the water and enjoy coffee in the the quiet.”

“My family had a great time in the Bar Harbor area and this house was perfect and located in a great central location for us to get to and from all places we visited. Acadia National Park was only about 20mins away. Shelley was very responsive and the house is great for a family (we had 3 adults, kids -2yrs & 4yrs, and 1 small dog). The property was so beautiful and the house clean and just as pictured. A family of deer greeted us every day with was quite fun for my kids to watch out for! ……

“This was a wonderful, well-appointed cabin that serves us well while visiting Acadia. It is a little further away from things but provided a peaceful home base which is exactly what we were looking for. We had deer in the yard at all times of the day which was a treat. Anne left so much helpful info in the binder. We did all of the easy and moderate hikes she recommended. There wasn’t anything we needed while there. The stairs up to the bedrooms are fairly steep so just something to keep in mind……

“Very clean and quiet”

“The "cottage" is actually the top floor of a larger structure that had a lobster processing plant on the lower level at some point. (It's not operational now.) The interior space is quite nice, with a spacious kitchen and living room, along with modern bathrooms. Our one major complaint was that one bedroom can be accessed only by going through another bedroom. For a family, that might be fine, but when unrelated individuals are involved, it creates some awkwardness and inconvenience. A……
