“Was pleasant to stay at. Pool was lovely and golf course looked superb. Breakfast was excellent. Not eco-friendly with so much packaging waste and towels changed even if you indicated they shouldn’t be. Bar is a sports bar and therefore rather noisy if you want to chill a bit more. ”

“We needed an overnight bed and breakfast option after attending a wedding at nearby Farnham Castle. Dawyk Beech fitted the bill perfectly and was less expensive than an overnight at the castle. Our en suite room was a very generous size overlooking the lovely garden with a comfortable king bed. We needed to check in before the official time of 4.30 to get changed for the wedding and wouldn't be back at the guesthouse until after midnight. I called ahead of our stay to confirm this was OK and……

“Lovely charming old property, incredibly friendly and welcoming hosts, lovely grounds, probably the best pizza I've had in my life and fantastic breakfast! Lovely touches, like leaving cold drinks (alcoholic and soft) available in an open fridge for guests who come back in late at night, using an honesty system for payment. Room was clean and comfortable. I wouldn't hesitate coming back here again. Loved it!”

We laughed about it, I can only assume there was a drama in the kitchen and that's 2hy we waited so long. Still, doesn’t put us off, we'd stay again ”
