“Good valve for money and nice facilities. Stream room not working but all else good”

“I was attending a 70th birthday celebrations in the area and I decided to stay the night at the Lakeside International to make a weekend of it. The hotel itself is very unusual. The prevailing style is late 1960s / early 1970s, which you don’t see so often these days. It is nicely situated by a large lake and I imagine that it must really come into its own in the summer. My double room was a good size, very clean and very comfortable. I got the impression that it must have been refurbished……

“I was really pleased with the accommodation, and found it really nice. I was dropped off, so did not require the parking which was directly outside and free. The room was comfortable, breakfast bits provided and the shower facilities although not ensuite were at hand and served me well. I would stay again.”

“Nearly could have made it to my best hotel stay yet. Beautiful hotel, a vibrant welcoming atmosphere. Friendly and helpful service at reception and in the sports bar. Less so at the gym. Room was spacious and comfortable temperature, nicely decorated. I was only able to use the gym due to restricted access for the times I was there but the gym was huge with a great variety of equipment. Food was delicious. Overall highly rate and recommend. Would stay again. ”
