“The staff are fantastic and so friendly, making the stay really comfortable. However, the outdoor pool was quite dirty, including the loungers and the pool surfaces with bird poo and staining on the tiles. Also our room did not have air conditioning and it was extremely hot and uncomfortable to sleep the first night. After this we had fans on which the hotel supplied. We had a lovely stay despite the small issues. ”

“Very pleasant staff with a warm greeting. I was shown to my room which was very small and only just accommodated a double bed. The bathroom was equally minute and sadly both were in need of refreshing the decor. The main negatives was the level of lighting that had little effect on the dark and dingy room. “This is the hotel right in the center of the town. It is so convenient to everything you needs among the shopping streets, dining, parks, running trails, and buses to Oxford and surrounding areas. We enjoyed staying at this affordable price for our vacation. The only thing we have is not enough air circulation inside room, nor the corridor. So, room temperature is much warmer than outside even open the window. ”

“The location, the hotel and the room was excellent. Everything was all very clean and the our room cleaned well everyday. The food in the restaurant was excellent. The service in the restaurant was not so good. I felt the staff didn't look around enough to see what was happening and when they were quieter, they weren't clearing tables. 12% service charge seems excessive when the service was below par. “Lovely location overlooking the river. However if you book a river view room ask for the second floor because there is very little privacy on the first floor. Passengers in double decker buses waiting for the traffic lights to change can look straight into the first floor windows. There is a very quiet lift to the river view rooms. There is no parking at the hotel but the station car park is quite close by and only £6 per 24 hours when we stayed which is quite reasonable. ”
