“Friendly staff in this hotel, food excellent and varied. Lovely big bedroom, comfy beds with vintage furniture, bathroom could do with a bit of a makeover. Superb view looking over the river with the swans and ducks. No lift in the hotel so I did struggle with the stairs.”

“Overall not bad. The hotel was built a long time ago. Even though you took the lift, there were still many stairs to go if you were assigned to the 3rd floor. I checked out the hotel on 5/21 morning. The black girl at the front desk was not very helpful.”

“Staff were very good, we arrived quite late at night because of the train mishap. It was raining and cold, we were made welcome and shown to rooms until we were happy with the choice!, room was warm clean and tidy. Breakfast was great lunch was delicious. A wonderful memorable stay will go again definitely!”

“Deep disappointment with the quality of our stay. Upon our arrival, we were dismayed to discover that the bedsheet in our room was visibly soiled with black marks, leaving us with serious doubts about its cleanliness and whether it was even new. This issue raised immediate concerns about the overall hygiene and standards of the room.”

“Pros: Great location if you’re visiting / doing business in Ampthill. Great food and drinks downstairs. The staff were always friendly, helpful and welcoming. Cons: no on premise parking. Closest parking is a municipal lot…10 pounds for 24 hours. When I checked in my room was made up as 2 singles instead of a double as requested. Beds were a tad small & uncomfortable. Walls are thin, I could hear my neighbors “chatting” until midnight the night before I was planning on checking out. Otherwise……

“Hotel literally part of the MK Dons stadium so hotel room was looking out into the notice was which unique; some local cups were on whilst we weee there so a little noisy! Good location for some shopping and food places. Parking is part of wider complex so busy but plenty of spaces and reduced rate via hotel.”

“We had an amazing stay. The lace is old and quirky and very beautiful. David the host is brilliant. Nothing is too much trouble. He makes the stay very interesting and enjoyable. The food is top quality. Made fresh every morning. The grounds are beautiful. We sat in the sun reading a book. The whole area is lovely as are the people., Harlington Manor is old and everything is doo very interesting. ”

“Really nice place, lovely rooms the only slight issue was the sound proofing from the people stay above wasn’t great. ”

“We stayed in the cottage which was lovely & roomy without paying more than a double room. The bathroom was big with a separate bath & shower cubicle. Unfortunately the restaurant was a bit disappointing. The food was a limited menu at dinner, though nice. The staff were also a bit scatty with orders etc”

“We had a one night stay for a meeting in the region. The hotel is not near to any other Pubs so you are rather captive, it has a nice garden terrace area next to the river, this is very pleasant in warm weather. We were however very disappointed that despite being residents we were not allowed to use this unless eating. A bizarre rule.”
