“Matfen Hall really is outstanding, my stay was faultless. All staff were so warm, welcoming and helpful- I was greeted upon arrival with a welcome drink and my bags were taken up to my room whilst I checked in and relaxed in the Great Hall. Every nook and cranny of this hotel is gorgeous, beautifully crafted and fabulously furnished, including the room I was allocated. It was a generous size bedroom and dressing area with a huge bathroom, stunning views and light and airy in the daytime but warm……

“Nothing to do in the area but it's an airport hotel so that's hardly surprising. The rest of the experience was excellent as usual, I've stayed there a few times now and it always is. Service is not like some other airport hotels where they know you're in and out so don't care much. Recommended for what it is.”

“Set in the grounds of a golf course, the room, part of the Courtyard area, was exceptional. Set on 3 levels, the bedroom was on the top level with wall mounted TV, then a seating area below that and a second TV, and the bathroom below that. The only negative for us was the heavy quilt, which was too hot, and the soft pillows, offering little support. Breakfast was excellent. It was ordered from the menu. However, a buffet offering fresh fruit, pastries and cereal would be a useful addition.……
