“Here with three friends for girls getaway. Love the property, close proximity to town, walkability, parking. Loved the grounds. No full length mirrors in room, nor hangars for clothing. Because part of the building is from the 1800's, the renovations have "piped in air-con" with was through a vent in the window, but it did work.”

“just a fun, funky little town - the union hotel goes way back - would love to have seen it in its hey day! and if you can get a room (only 2 of 4) with direct balcony access even better (but you can access the balcony from the hallway for the other 2 rooms) - homemade breakfast (you get a selection) is - well - special - as is the super cool lady who does it all: hostess, waitress, busser - and most importantly - *chef*!! she's remarkable! want to go back on a friday to experience some of their……

“There were drunk loud people in the room right under us. They kept us awake, we asked them nicely to be quiet. But it didn't change, so I called down to the front desk. She said she was familiar with the guys in the room and would talk to them. She did and they were quiet. The walls are very thin in the rooms, you can hear what everyone on each side of you is doing and saying. It needs insulation. It would be nice if they served a continental breakfast. We were very pleasantly surprised; the property is beautiful architecturally, the hosts were really gracious and welcoming, and the breakfasts were wonderful. Murphy's is a little foodie haven with a bunch of local cellar doors open to the public, and historic goldrush era buildings in the surrounding villages.
