“I know it’s very easy to criticise a stay but we have stayed in most of the harbour hotels and this one lacks the sparkle we normally expect. Service was very slow and tables left uncleared for lengthy periods. Not blaming the good staff but they were sparse and under pressure. There were stains on the bed base and carpets and shower hard to use and this was in one the the most expensive rooms. We ordered room service one item didn’t turn up and the other was not what we ordered so again not……

“Great place to stay, the hosts are fantastic, friendly and inviting. The lodge is clean well kept and to a high standard. Easy to find plenty of parking and the gardens are beautiful. Would definitely stay again. ”

“A very friendly and pleasant inn in the countryside near St Ives.”

“The room was comfortable, particularly the bed, although we did find some broken plastic under the sheet, not sure where it came from. There was no hot water from the sink even after running the tap for a while and the cistern to the toilet kept running after it had filled up. Saying all of that we would probably stay again.”
