“I was visiting Forres for a work event and needed a hotel nearby. The Carlton was lovely. The staff were exceptionally friendly and welcoming; check in was a breeze. The room was super clean and had all the amenities you needed. The bed was excellent and very comfy. Would thoroughly recommend this excellent hotel which is great value for money.”

“The room was spotless and very comfortable. Obviously the Hotel is in transition. By and by rooms are being prepared to welcome guests. Only 11 rooms are available to book at this point. The price per room is unbelievably low. Especially since the electricity bill must be enormous. The hotel was overheated and lights were on in almost every hall, lounge and room and stayed on during the night. Heating as well as the lights. No consideration was given to the ecological impact. ”

“It waa very good value for money if you just want a bed, plus they were able to arrange a free parking space for me whivh saved me a lot of hassle and cost. I will definately stay again. ”

“Lovely peaceful stay at the Wee Snug, really spacious and loved being able to rotate the TV to watch TV in bed and relax! Games were so fun, shower is really powerful. One thing - bed is very soft FYI! Also, we struggled with getting any sort of taxi booking in the evening so I would advise booking ahead of time if you plan to venture to nearby villages etc. and want a couple drinks - we ended up just driving to places and getting takeaway and coming back to have some drinks with dinner instead.……

“We were initially very tensed as we are going to Europe for first time. Communicated with the owners (Karen & George), they were very friendly and eased our anxiety. Karen met us after we checked-in and she was very friendly and helpful. My wife and daughter liked the glamping area very much, its safe. I highly recommend if you are planning for a trip to Loch Ness and need a small private atmosphere.”
