“Best staff ever, couldn't do enough for me. The hotel it self has seen better days. But the staff make it brilliant. Although dated the rooms are the most comfortable I have ever stayed in. Breakfast was a continental and full English. Bacon, beans, hash browns, sausage and choice of egg type. There were cold meats, pastrys, fresh fruit tea, coffee (filter) orange and apple juice. Very comfortable lounge with TV. When I arrived back from a day at work fresh coffee was always offered by the staff……

“Property was what we expected. Only niggles I’ve got are: Beds in the second bedroom were a little small, I’m 5’11’’ and was too tall for it. There was a constant sound from what could have been a boiler that did keep me up at night. Host was responsive and polite though. Overall good stay. I’d recommend, but for slightly smaller people who don’t mind constant noise.”

“This is a lovely little place. A friendly pub with rooms upstairs. The pub part was busy and they did good bar meals. I felt fine as a solo female. The rooms were adequate, and clean. Be aware this pub/hotel is right next to a flyover and that flyover is very busy, all through the night. You might want to pack some ear plugs!”

“The apartment is best located. It is spacious and clean. Its bed is cosy. Full equipped kitchen. Its staff is friendly. Everything is nice. But some of its hardware failed. The room temperature is controlled by a terribly designed electronic button which does not work easily. With great efforts and over 10 minutes, I slowly moved the cursor from 18.5 degree to 19.8 degree, since each time - if I succeeded in moving the screen’s little man into his box and ordered to move up room……
