I thought it would have been more professional if the host told me the price before running my card when I checked out at the desk.”

“It was roughly 15 years ago we stayed at High Peaks Resort with the kids when they were about 5 years old and we brought them back this year for a new perspective. The first time around we stayed at a room in the Main Resort, this time around we stayed at a room in the Waterfront Collection. Excellent room with obvious wonderful views. We stayed just off the pool area Waterfront Collection rooms so that we had an open view of Mirror Lake morning, noon, and night. Open your door and you are 10……

“We had an amazing stay at Bluebird Lake Placid! Most amazing was the location: we had an easy walk to water skiing on Lake Placid, restaurants and shops in town, and swimming on Mirror Lake. The room was clean, comfortable, and adorable too. The AC worked great. Bathroom was great. Our view was of the side parking lot, but that is okay; we were only there to sleep and shower. Areas for improvement: 1. The beds were too soft and sagged in the middle; my back does better with a firm mattress.……

“Our stay at Prescott House was a delight. The house is unique, cozy, and welcoming! The onsite manager was friendly and available, and we had everything we needed. The large bathrooms are shared, but the doors can be locked for quick showers, and there are also a few private half-baths (and one private shower) scattered throughout the building. Our room was a little bit musty and had not been updated like some of the other rooms, but it was clean and very affordable and met all our needs. We……
