“Had lots of little bugs in our villa. Could use a few more railings as floors get slippery when wet. Food was excellent. Beach was beautiful but found a few glass and plastic bottle pieces in sand, Not good for bare feet. 2 lovely and clean pools for non sea swimmers. Would recommend this resort.”

“We have been staying at Grand Colony for years. The reason we keep returning is the convenience of walking down the beach to the dive shop, having a full size kitchen and individual bedrooms for everyone. There are no amenities to speak of. No restaurant, no bar, no spa, the beach chairs have seen better days but so has the beach. The sea grass is nothing Grand Colony can help but it does make the ocean unswimable. “Just be mindful of windy and seaweed season. Otherwise perfect location. Property is a little older whoever well maintained and clean. The kitchen has most of what we needed and full size fridge. ”

“This is the 2nd time we have stayed here. Since the 1st time the new owners have added the Nauti Crab Bar. We enjoyed the activities and music at the bar. The food was also very good. The staff was very accommodating to our needs. We liked having the full kitchen to be able make some of our own meals. We would definitely stay here again.”

Paulina our housekeeper did an excellent job in maintaining the order and cleanness of our room. Mike the maintenance man educated us on the culture of the people of Ambergris Caye and recommended the best restaurants on the island. ”
