“wonderful, full of character, quirky, not a straight wall ceiling or floor to be found, it was like going back in time. The shared bathroom was no problem as there is also washing facilities in room. Very friendly and efficient service with excellent breakfast”

“Loved our three day stay at the Zeal hotel. Rooms were lovely, huge comfy beds, lovely and clean and everything you needed right there. Staff were also very helpful and restaurant food delicious. Had a lovely peaceful visit would recommend.”

“Booked a valley castle room w king bed for one night in late Sep. Room was very clean with comfy n up to date decor. Room was big enough and soundproof quality was good. Big garden surrounded hotel n we took a pleasant walk the next day. Should have stayed for one or two nights so as to enjoy swimming pool and other facilities. The historical building was well maintained. Very pleasant stay ”

“Great option for a low cost stay within easy walking distance of the centre. Free parking- reception will provide a pass to display in your car. Good, clean rooms with tea & coffee making facilities. Towels and a small bar of soap provided, but no shampoo or shower gel. Excellent breakfast with plenty of hot and cold dishes, vegan/ vegetarian options, juices, tea and coffee. Would definitely stay again.”

“Clean but very small room. Cheap, suitable for solo traveller. Hotel quite big largely catering for coach parties with big dining room and evening entertainment. Position close to weĺl maintained lawns at top of cliffs. Very safe, railings and benches. Magnificent views.”
