“Check in was quick and easy, room clean, shower was lovely. Asked for extra towels and received them quickly. Breakfast was lovely and unrushed. Plenty of parking. The pub around the corner did a lovely evening meal and only a short walk away.”
“I stay in around 100 places each year for work and this was bad.
Poor quality fittings and fixtures vey well used. No soap, shower door didn’t close, toilet on some kind of strange plinth. Laminate falling to bits. No Freeview or terrestrial tv, streaming only but WiFi is so bad it doesn’t work at peak times 2 mattresses on bed bottom one very grubby
I think it’s a converted garage.
May suit someone with low standards I ended up leaving after 2 nights stayed last night elsewhere ”
“First of all, its close to the train station and various busses which is a bonus. the price of the room was a bargain and provided what we needed just fine, a bed, tv, kettle, cups, shower? toilet and cupboards, so 5* for that.
we were on top floor which wasnt mentioned on the room directions on the ground floor, just said to room 21 but missed out 22.
there was no plug in the sink and no details for the free wifi so couldnt get internet.
the checkout time advertised was 11 and the door lock……

“Booked overnight stay as sailing from Southampton the next day. Lovely place, well equipped, clean and great situation. We got the train to Romsey and walked from the station, a nice flat walk, took about 20 minutes with our luggage. Breakfast was delicious, a great start to the day.
Graeme the owner was extremely accommodating and helpful, arranged transport into Southampton on the Saturday morning. Found a spare travel plug for us when we realised we had forgotten ours.

Building needs maintenance- we had to help other guests get into their rooms where doors were broken and door locks were sticking.

“Parked at Sainsbury's using JustPark then five mins walk to accom. Easy to find and was on top floor in the roof conversation. VERY warm night and almost slept outside instead. Couple fans would have been great. Bed was comfy. Shared shower and kitchen spaces with the other residents ”
“Property is poorly maintained and extremely tired. The images used to show the rooms do not accurately represent the poor condition of the rooms. The "double bed" is not a double at all, but 2 singles pushed together. The lamps in the room did not even have light bulbs in them. The radiator covers are literally falling off the wall. It was not unclean, which was the saving grace and the only positive for the property. If it was any more expensive than what we paid we would be looking for money……
“This property was not as described, the room had nothing but a bed and some cupboards it’s the most basic living space you can imagine. There were some unsavoury characters staying there as felt unsafe.”
