“In an attractive location”

“Excellent for a one night stay prior to a cruise. Hostess was very responsive and helpful. Disliked nothing but was not aware that my room would be upstairs, a flight of many stairs so that my main suitcase spent the night downstairs. ”

“Chewton Glen is a glorious hotel with fabulous, well cared for grounds. (Although the patios and tables in the Croquet rooms, could do with attention)The staff are exceptional, with every individual staff member reacting promptly, to our requests. We dined at the Kitchen on the first evening, which was superb. Unfortunately, on both mornings of our stay, our cooked breakfasts were rather disappointing. “Had a really nice time here... the property is wonderful.. newly refurbished it seemed to a high standard (my wife was impressed with the Elemis products !) . Spotlessly clean. Service was good, and the lounge area, conservatory and garden all add to the extra space.Service was friendly and efficient and a good breakfast. Location quiet and very near the sea. “On arrival, we were met by the receptionist, who was very pleasant and extremely helpful showing us where to store our bikes and making recommendations for local restaurants. Our room was large and well-appointed. The hotel is housed in a large old stone building. Yes, it looks tiring in places but nothing to spoil your stay. Breakfast was good, maybe a better choice of fresh fruit but that is being picky. I will definately be returning to this hotel”
