“We loved our stay at The Charthouse, and are so glad we got the chance to visit and explore Torquay. The location is within walking distance of the beach, the town itself, and a picturesque path suitable for dog walks (Note: If you own a dog that doesn't like other dogs, this path may not be suitable, as there are a lot of other dogs, some off lead). Lisa & Christophe were great hosts - Lisa being a friendly welcome face each and every morning, and Christophe cooking a hearty full English……

“It smelt amazing as we entered, everything was so clean and looked fresh, The manager was so friendly and offered lots of information about the hotel, and made you feel very welcome. The room was small but adequate and the bed was so comfortable. Breakfast was amazing and nothing was to much for them, we were booked into a different hotel for our 2nd night but would of loved to have stayed her for that night, they did offer to try sort out our other booking but I had already paid that company.……

“Loved our stay at the Torcroft! The B&B is clean, comfortable & modern and most importantly quiet at nighttime so you’ll have a peaceful sleep. The honesty bar and Mediterranean style garden was perfect for relaxing and enjoying drinks at sunset and the breakfast each morning was absolutely delicious. “Unfortunately I was not there for pleasure, but Michelle was really welcoming. My room was ready before arrive and Michelle advised me on this by text, upon arrival Michelle helped me with my bag and offered my a cup of tea or coffee, even though this was in my room. ”

“Lovely place and very friendly hosts Tom and Rosie. The location is great (walking distance to harbour, sea front and main street). Tom knows all the great places to see, drink and eat. I especially liked the harbour light, looking over the harbour with a nice glass of wine and some great food)”

“What a lovely property with lovely hosts. Made us feel welcome and relaxed. Breakfast is just great! Full English, whatever you like, loads of options like cereals, crumpets, breakfast bars, fruit, yoghurts, waffles to name a few. Hosts attentive and eager to please while being friendly too. Room was very nice with big sliding window and smart TV with the usuals like Netflix and Prime (bring your own accounts!). Wifi in rooms good too and beds are super comfy with 2 good pillows each as……

“Really beautiful place with a lovely warm welcome from the hosts. Attention to detail, comfortable bed and room in general with everything you need for a relaxing stay. Great location 5 minutes walk from Torre railway station and 15 minutes walk from seafront and town. Easy drive to local towns like Brixham, Dawlish, Teignmouth and about 45 mins to Plymouth. I'd stay here again definitely. ”

“We only stayed two nights, but everything was really good. Very friendly staff, room was clean and comfortable. Didn't get round to using the indoor pool, but, took a look and it was lovely. A central hotel to what we wanted to see, great coastal walks too. Wish we'd stayed longer.”

“Main drawback was parking which was some distance so no quick access to car for forgotten items. To be fair, proprietor provided a free personal taxi service on arrival and departure. Breakfast a bit quirky. ”
